A Panel Challenge

Shelly of Prairie Moon Quilts is always encouraging and challenging us with our quilting. Recently, she challenged us to make something with a panel. You can read all about it HERE . Since I'm trying to use up my stash and not buy anything new, I didn't have too much on-hand to choose from. But I did find a few panel blocks that I'd got in a mystery bag awhile ago. I wasn't sure what to do with them but eventually came up with a small table topper.

I just quilted it in the ditch, with some machine embroidery.

I used THIS method found on YouTube, to bind it. I'd known of the method, but just never tried it before. I'm so glad I did, as I'll likely use it for more of my projects. It was fast and easy!

Here I've just got it folded and clipped into place, before sewing it down. I love the Wonder clips for this sort of thing.

The finished table topper measures about 22" square. It was a fun project to do.

So if you want some inspiration of what to do with panels, please do go look at all the submissions to the challenge. You can read about it HERE . Then go take a look and vote if you wish for your favorite!

Thanks for stopping by!

Love the way you used your panel, Karen! It's one of my favorites of all the entries. I agree, this was such a fun challenge...so glad I decided to join in.
